ひがんばな 【彼岸花】
■ Lycoris
radiata; flower that appears around the autumnal equinox week (彼岸（ひがん））.
Known in English horticultural circles as "(red) spider lily", but
also as "storm lily" or "hurricane lily" in Florida, and by
various other names such as "naked lady". Japanese-English
dictionaries are almost unanimous that the English is "cluster
amaryllis", but this term does not seem to be known outside Japan. For more
